Privacy policy

1. Summary
Trust & Tease has no accounts and no server-side storage. The players, options and games you create stay in your own browser, on your own device, and we never see them. The only information that leaves your device is anonymous usage data collected by Google Analytics, which we use purely to count our visitors and see which pages they use.
2. What we store
To run the game, your browser saves: the players you add (the names you give them and the gender you choose); the options you select in each category, including any custom options you write yourself; your progress through setup; and the round currently being played, including the level reached.
We don't ask for your real name, email address, payment details or any other contact information, and you don't need to use real names for players.
3. Where it is stored
Game information is kept in your browser's local storage, on the device you're playing on. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and we can't access, recover or delete it for you.
Because it's stored on the device, anyone else who uses the same device and browser may be able to see it. If that's a concern, use a private browsing window or clear the data when you've finished (see "Your choices" below).
4. Analytics and cookies
Trust & Tease uses Google Analytics for anonymous visitor tracking, purely so we can count our own visitors and see which pages are used. We only ever see anonymous, combined statistics, such as how many people visited this week or which pages are most popular. Nothing in them identifies you, and nothing you enter in the game, such as player names or options, is ever sent to Google Analytics.
To produce those statistics, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your approximate location (country or city) and the type of device and browser you use.
We use these statistics for nothing else: not for advertising, not to build profiles of visitors, and we don't sell or share them. The data is processed by Google on our behalf and may be transferred to servers outside the UK. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The game itself doesn't use cookies; it uses local storage, as described above.
5. Shop and affiliate links
Our shop links to products sold by other retailers, and some of these are affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer may record that you came from us so that we can be paid a commission if you buy something.
Once you leave our site, the retailer's own privacy policy applies to anything you do there, including any purchase. We don't receive your personal or payment details from them.
6. Your choices
You can remove everything the game has saved at any time by using "Start over" in setup, or by clearing your browser's site data for trustandtease.com. Playing in a private browsing window means nothing is kept after you close it.
You can block or delete Google Analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The game works normally either way.
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data held about you, including the right to ask what is held and to have it deleted. As we don't hold any game information ourselves, most requests are best handled by clearing your browser data. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Children
Trust & Tease is for adults aged 18 and over only. It isn't intended for children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the site or the services it uses change. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
9. Contact
If you have a question about this policy or your data, email us at privacy@trustandtease.com.
